August 17, Amber Jackson Honored as Player of the Year, but not Rookie of the Year (huh?)

As seems typical of the NPF, Amber Jackson, a rookie, was awarded Player of the Year honors, but somehow the Rookie of the Year went to Kristina Thorson of the Force. I don't understand how Amber Jackson can be the best player in the entire NPF, but not be the best rookie in the league.

Also honored, as expected, was Desiree Serrano, as Pitcher of the Year. And Coach Carie picked up the Manager of the Year Award. Congrats to all three!

    Full List:
Player of the Year: Amber Jackson, Washington Glory
Manager of the Year: Carie Dever-Boaz, Washington Glory
Pitcher of the Year: Desiree Serrano, Washington Glory
Rookie of the Year: Kristina Thorson, Force
Defensive Player of the Year: Jackie Pasquerella, New England Riptide
Offensive Player of the Year: Veronica Wootson, Akron Racers
