January 18, Celebrity Apprentice: Gene Simmons Takes Over Women's Team, But Can't Stop Their Losing Streak

Well, at least Jennie Finch got more screen time tonight, though for all the wrong reasons.

At the beginning, Jennie took some heat for last week's firing of Nadia. At the end, she was one of the three people to return to the boardroom as part of the losing team. When The Donald asked everyone on the team who should be fired, most said Gene (Simmons), but Nelly said Jennie, which suprised everyone else in the room. When Gene was asked to choose two people to return to the boardroom, he chose just one, Omarosa. The Donald, knowing that doing so would ensure Gene's firing, forced him to bring a second person, and he chose Ms. Finch. It didn't seem like that would change the outcome, but would it?

Nope. Gene wanted to end his run on the show, and he did. Too bad, it was fun to hear what he had to say. Jennie's name was mentioned because she hasn't shown leadership, so perhaps next week we'll get to see her in charge of her team.

This week's task was to impress some executives from Kodak. Because the women were now down to 5, vs 7 guys, Gene Simmons was asked to switch teams, and lead the ladies. He did not meet with the Kodak executives, instead sending Nelly and Carol. Nelly talked so much that she didn't get the message the executives wanted her to hear, and therefore couldn't tell the team what that message was. But it didn't matter, because Gene had already decided what his team was going to do. Even on his ride home, he still believed he was right and the Kodak executives were wrong.
