This week's task was to sell tickets to Broadway shows. Marilu Henner was in charge of the
women's team, since she has been on Broadway 6 times. The guys also had a Broadway star
in charge (Vinnie).
Both teams called in favors from friends, etc. to spend a lot of money on tickets. They had
a 2-hour window to get that money, as well as sell to the people on the street.
One of the big donations barely made the time limit for the guys, while one for the
ladies just missed it. Since they lost by about $2,000, this could have cost them the win.
Jennie and Original Supermodel Carol Alt spent this task in the ticket booth, even though they
are by far the most attractive women on the team (and therefore should have been selling
to the people on the street). In the boardroom, Marilu said that
the women are outmatched in star-power and black books (phone numbers to call for donations).
The Donald asked Nelly, whom
he's been itching to fire, who should be fired, and she said Marilu. This didn't sit well with
The Donald, since Marilu was the Broadway star. Even though it was Nelly's big-ticket
purchase that came in just a little late, Marilu decided not to bring her back,
instead choosing Carol and Jennie. She then told the Donald that the team could afford
to lose either Carol or Jennie, but not Nelly.
When asked by The Donald why she seems so different in the Boardroom vs on the mound,
Jennie admitted that she doesn't do well in such a harsh, nasty environment, and she's
not used to it. When The Donald said she shouldn't get used to it, her fate was sealed.
Saying it's just not her world, he canned her. He then said very nice things about her,
and that he likes her world better, and to go win another Olympic Gold. With that,
my favorite is off the show. Booo!
