It appears to now be official, since the asterisks has been removed from the MySpace roster.  I posted some info about Miranda and Mowatt back in February, but the welcome surprise is that Taryne is bringing her catcher Balko with her to Washington. Once I realized that Balko was coming here, I started to pay more attention to her on ESPN. She seems to have an excellent, Callie-like arm from what I could tell, and her 15 HRs this season show she has some pop also. She will be a great addition, and along with newcomer Leah English, will allow my UVa girl to stick to her natural position at the hot corner.

I believe that Mowatt will be with us in a week or so, while Balko and possibly Miranda will join us during the Rockford series. They should all be with the team for our next homestand, starting  June 19 against Team Venezuela. I can't wait.
