June 8, NPF Games on Internet TV, and Glory Replacement Team Website Now Up

The USSSA Pride is the team which took over the contracts from the Glory franchise. The now have a website. It's obvious from their ticket prices that they learned nothing from the over-priced Glory tickets which were partly responsible for the team's demise. 15 bucks!

The roster shows a bunch of former Glory players:  pitchers Monica Abbott, Sarah Pauly, and Desiree Serrano, catcher Callie Piper, outfielders Kelly Kretschmanand LaDonia Hughes, infielders Courtney Bures, Amber Jackson, Oli Keohohou, and my UVa girl Sara Larquier, and utility player Jessica Dignon. They are joined by Olympian Caitlin Lowe (who had signed up before the Glory officially folded), plus Erin Glasco and Jessica Williams (who has prior NPF experience).

The NPF recently signed an deal for MLB.com to broadcast games most nights, for free via the internet. Basically, they've taken last year's free Bandit home game broadcasts, and the Force's pay broadcasts, and added home games from Akron. No home games from Rockford or the new team are scheduled. The Pride take on the Bandits starting Wed, and these games will be available. See this page for the complete schedule.

Also, for anyone with a little spare change in their pocket, the Glory Franchise is up for sale via Craigslist, for a mere $300,000. (If they do find a sucker/buyer, will we ticket-holders be compensated?)
